WHAT I AM BINGEING
Dennis Scott
After playing rugby league for a decade for the Brisbane Broncos, Canterbury Bulldogs and Melbourne Storm, this proud Queenslander did an apprenticeship in carpentry and transitioned into the landscaping industry. He’s just about to start his second season as Selling Houses Australia’s exterior and garden designer.
WATCHING
Australian Survivor (Channel 10) is right in my wheel house. I would love to have a crack at this, all the strategy and manipulation behind the scenes is very interesting. Coming from a team-oriented lifestyle (my days in NRL) I could see some clashes of personality and heated arguments taking place. Sign me up.
LISTENING
I will listen to pretty much anything as long as it’s not in the Death Metal or Heavy Metal genres. I love some oldschool tunes and will definitely rock out to an ‘80s power ballad, especially Whitesnake’s Here I Go Again. Whatever is on the radio will suffice, though, most times.
COOKING
I can cook but don’t really cook at home. I grew up on a cattle station so I am a meat and three vegetable type of guy. Things like lasagne, beef casserole and dumplings, shepherd’s pie are all winners. I can cook a mean chicken and leek pie and I also do a good pork belly with pea puree and roast vegetables.
READING
I’m not really much into novels. True crime is a goto – James Phelps has some great reads out. I do get my reading fix though, from the weekend papers. There’s a great liftout in Brisbane’s Courier Mail on a Saturday, At Home, which is full of interesting information. They have some very talented contributors. Hahaha!
Dennis Scott is co-host of Selling Houses Australia, Wednesdays, 8.30pm on Foxtel
