Wild scenes inside Aldi

- Claudia Poposki

One of Aldi’s Special Buys sales has turned into chaos with footage showing shoppers climbing over each other to get their hands on one item.

Aldi releases its Special Buys items every Wednesday and Saturday. The April 27 range featured technology and entertainment, kitchen wares and heating.

Items such as vintage turntables, mini karaoke bluetooth speakers, heated throw blankets and pots and pans were among the items on sale.

Video footage shared on social media showed a worker standing on top of the items passing out boxes of The Crofton Cast Aluminium range.

Below, dozens of shoppers rushed in to get their hands on the range.

This chaos was clear across social media as footage showed customers locked in battle in various Aldi stores across Australia on Saturday.

“I got 13 of them today. It was crazy,” one social media user revealed.

One social media user said they worked at Aldi and it “never ceased to amaze” how eager some were to get their hands on the Special Buys.

“I was at Aldi Chullora. It was the same, some buying 20 pots. What are they going to do with all those,” one social media user commented.

One added: “Same at Mount Druitt, bro. I just wanted the airfryer and I’m fighting to get through with my trolley.”

“I don’t know what it is but now I want one too,” one person commented.

One shopper revealed that their local Aldi in Townsville had plenty of the pots left, saying; “Nobody was really interested in them here”.

The new Aldi pots range features heavy duty cast aluminium for maximum heat distribution, with the pots’ price starting at $24.99 for a 20cm version.
