A RUN of incidents around the region at the weekend kept Queensland Fire and Emergency Services crews busy.

The sole occupant of a vehicle which rolled on the Drayton Connection Rd at Vale View about 1.15pm on Saturday escaped without injury.

Firefighters righted the vehicle as Queensland Ambulance paramedics assessed the vehicle’s occupant.

It was the first in a spate of weekend incidents across the Toowoomba and Darling Downs region.

One person was taken to hospital with injuries after they were trapped under a car in Middle Ridge about 6.40pm on Saturday.

The person was pinned under the vehicle but was released by the time QFES crews arrived on scene.

They were taken to Toowoomba Hospital with minor injuries.

At least one person was assessed by paramedics at the scene of a two-vehicle crash on the Warrego Hwy about 10km east of Dalby about 10.35pm on Saturday.

There was no transport to hospital as a result of the incident.

A caravan caught fire about 11.50am on Sunday on Acton Vale Stud Rd but it was extinguished before crews arrived on scene.

Queensland Ambulance paramedics were called as a precaution but did not transport to hospital.

About two hours later Dalby QFES crews were called to reports smoke was gushing from the dashboard of a car on Blaxland Rd at Bowenville about 2pm.

The car was fully alight but QFES extinguished it a short time later.

With wet weather forecast for the rest of the week, drivers are urged to drive to the conditions and be mindful of road hazards.
