Race three: The phone money was on I’ve Got Friends, with one bet of $2000 each-way at $4.80. The winner Teeroys Tribute was backed for small money. Race four: The phone money was on Hot Talk with a bet of $1500 each-way at $6. The bookies were generous with the favourite and winner Dream Of Ascot and bet $1.80 only to pay the penalty.

Race five: The punters stepped into the winner He’s a Witness. The phone rang and the money went on with $3000 at $2.50 and $1200 at $2.30. There was also cash on track at $2.20.

Race six: The phone money again was on the favourite Rockabella Boy with one bet of $2000 at $2.40 and there was plenty of cash bet at $2.30.

Race seven: The phone money was on Novative with one bet of $2000 at $4.20. The winner Kid Cruize was a good result for the bookies but a little too late as they went home with their tails between their legs.
