WHERE: 57-73 Brook St AFTER much anticipation from Toowoomba’s beer lovers, 4 Brothers Brewing will open for the first time today.
It will be open for people to check out the beer, brewed on site, and enjoy food from a local food van. 2. Rose Show

THE 2017 Autumn Championship Rose Show will be presented by the Darling Downs Rose Society at the weekend.
There will be a large variety of roses on display. 3. Bites and Beats WHEN: Today, 4pm to 9pm WHERE: Frogs Hollow, Queens Park
BITES and Beats will bring together 50 food and boutique market stalls, original live music, jumping castles, face painting and games for the whole family.
Entry is just $2, with kids under 15 free, cash only.
The markets are in support of Canvas Coworking and will include picnic style twilight dining.
There will be music from Sue Ray, The Beamish Boys and Kent Tonscheck.

THE Toowoomba Philharmonic Society will present L’Opera d’or stating Opera Australia’s Simon Kim, an international tenor.
Favourite moments will be performed by well-known Toowoomba and Brisbane soloists Calista Walters, Deborah Rogers, Nick Kirkup and Jon Maskell, supported by the combined Toowoomba Philharmonic Choirs.
Featuring magical moments from operas including Carmen, Nabucco, La Traviata, Lakme and more, this is a show that promises something for everyone.

CELEBRATE the importance of the railway to Toowoomba the Toowoomba Festival of Rail.
The festival will include the Power Media group markets and steam trains will arrive in Toowoomba from Warwick and Brisbane.
Tours of the Railway precinct, including the air raid
shelters at the station will start around noon and include how a steam train works, the significance of the railway to Queensland, the railway precinct and its role in the Second World War and the history of the First World War memorial honour boards. 8.
