Video shows best city has to offer

-

THE latest video of Toowoomba should make any resident proud to call the Garden City home.

The two-minute clip showcases Toowoomba in all its glory. It is a mixture of flyover drone footage and on-the-ground footage.

For a short video, it is crammed with stunning shots of the best the city has to offer.

It features our parks, the CBD, Kwong Sang Walk, farming land, the library, Preston Peak Wines, Grand Central, Spring Bluff, Walton Stores, the artwork scattered around town and it even includes snippets of our coffee culture.

It was created by Amy Creighton from Foxtail Productions. Ms Creighton is partnering with Destination Darling Downs in a bid to boost tourism in Toowoomba.

“Some people have a perceived perception of what Toowoomba is like because they have never actually been here or experienced its beauty,” she said.

“I moved here when I was 15 and fell in love with the place but I always felt there wasn’t enough tourism so I wanted to find a way to showcase it.

“I wanted to create this to help boost tourism in the region because it shows the very best of what we offer and maybe people will sit back and realise how beautiful our town is.

“There are a lot of great flyover videos of Toowoomba but the idea was to ramp it up and have one out there with a high production value.”

Ms Creighton said it took about two weeks to gather all the footage and she completed it last week.

“I had to wait for the right light and spread it across two weeks gathering footage, filming at sunrise and sunset,” she said.

The clip received more than 34,000 views in one week.
