-

ST GEORGE: Hundreds of people flocked to dawn services across the Balonne Shire on Tuesday to honour and remember those who lost their lives in war.

In St George the dawn service was accompanied by a gunfire breakfast and services at the hospital and cemetery before the march and service at the cenotaph.

There was also a flyover by a C-271 Spartan cargo plane.

President of the St George RSL Sub-Branch Karl Hempstead said it was important to remember on days like Tuesday.
