Rangers out to end Emus’ winning run

RUGBY UNION: Toowoomba Rangers will be looking to halt the unbeaten Wagners Wellcamp Risdon Cup season run of Goondiwind­i when it hosts the Emus at Gold Park today.

After beginning the season with two comfortabl­e wins Rangers suffered its first 2017 defeat last week against premier team Dalby in a see-sawing encounter.

Coach Sam Hannant will be looking for a similar effort this afternoon against

the Emus as Rangers look to stay in touch with the competitio­n top three.

IN OTHER matches today Toowoomba Bears host Roma at Heritage Oval, USQ is at home to Highfields

and UQ Gatton is on the road to Chinchilla’s Bulldog Park where it will meet the Condamine Cods.
