Friends spin-off is on the cards
LISA Kudrow is reportedly in “serious talks” with the creator of Friends to launch a spin-off surrounding her character Phoebe Buffay.
In Touch reports Kudrow, 53, has been having talks with Marta Kauffman, 60, about storylines for the show.
An insider says Phoebe “would probably be divorced now and living back in NYC. It’s only natural that she would occasionally bump into her old Central Perk gang”.
In the 10th and final season, Phoebe married boyfriend Mike Hannigan, played by Paul Rudd.
It is doubtful Rudd would join on a regular basis.
The source said this would be the one chance to have Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and Matthew Perry back together playing their Friends characters — even if just for one potential blockbuster episode.
