Schools ready for carnival

RUGBY LEAGUE: Four schools will finetune preparations this weekend for the start of the massive Confraternity Carnival in Brisbane next week.

St Mary’s College, St Joseph’s College, Our Lady of the Southern Cross and Faith Lutheran College will contest the carnival, which starts on Monday.

St Mary’s will face some tough opposition as they are one of 16 teams in division one.

St Joseph’s and Faith Lutheran are in division two but feature in different pools, while Our Lady of the Southern Cross is in division three.
