Drone fun this hol­i­days

As school stu­dents across the re­gion head for the hol­i­days, there are plenty of ac­tiv­i­ties planned in the West­ern Downs for their en­ter­tain­ment.

West­ern Downs li­braries will be­gin their hol­i­day pro­gram, Up in the Air, to­day, with ac­tiv­i­ties rang­ing from paint­ing to drone work­shops.

The pro­gram will be run at the li­braries in Dalby, Chin­chilla, Jandowae, Me­an­darra, Moonie, Miles, Tara and Wan­doan.

One of the many school hol­i­day ac­tiv­i­ties on of­fer will be the drone work­shops.

It has been cre­ated for chil­dren 13 years of age and older, and will be held in Dalby, Jandowae, Moonie, Chin­chilla and Miles.

Cr Kaye Maguire said the Up in the Air school hol­i­day ac­tiv­i­ties were not to be missed, and would ban­ish any school hol­i­day bore­dom across the re­gion.

The coun­cil li­braries at Bell, Tara and Wan­doan will also host the pop­u­lar pro­gram, Fun Places.
