Oakey Hospital’s fair to bloom

Oakey Hospital’s annual Spring Fair is set to bloom, this Saturday, September 23.

Recreation officer Lynda White said the hospital’s gardens were looking beautiful, with residents and staff hoping for another win in the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers garden competition after they took out first place in the Country Nursing Home section last year.

Ms White said while the garden was the centrepiece of the Spring Fair, there were many other drawcards on the day.

The day will also include stalls, a pet parade, kiddies corner and food.

“It’s an open invitation for all members of the local community to come and celebrate Spring with us.”

The Spring Fair will run from 10am until 2pm at the Oakey Hospital on Fitzpatrick St.
