War­wick trainer wins his first Al­lora Cup

War­wick trainer Les Clarke has taken out his first Al­lora Cup af­ter a de­ci­sive win for Drum Mas­ter at All­man Park on Satur­day.

Drum Mas­ter led all the way with ap­pren­tice jockey Michael Schrapel on board to take out the 1200m Rail­way Ho­tel Al­lora Cup.

He beat home Mac’s Boy by 2 1/2 lengths, with Will To Rule third a fur­ther 2-1/4 lengths away.

Drum Mas­ter now boasts an un­beaten record of three wins from three starts at All­man Park.

This vic­tory is also spe­cial for 76-year-old Clarke as it is the first Al­lora Cup tri­umph for the War­wick trainer and goes with his Long Tan Cup and Kil­lar­ney Cup suc­cesses.
