Railway Hotel history tour

Author Scott Whitaker will visit the Western Downs Libraries branches later this month on a regional book tour detailing the history of 191 railway hotels operating in the area.

The hotels will include those in Dalby, Miles and Chinchilla.

Whitaker has travelled the state unearthing the secrets, scandals and spirits of the remaining railway hotels in Queensland – where once more than 600 existed.
