Roar seal win

SOCCER: Toowoomba’s Abbey Lloyd started in the Brisbane Roar’s W-League win at the weekend. American defender Carson Pickett scored the only goal of the match at the half hour mark with the Roar defeating Western Sydney Wanderers 1-0. Wanderers worked their way into the match but the Roar’s defence, led by in-form goalkeeper Mackenzie Arnold, held on for their first clean sheet of the season. Lloyd and the Roar will face Adelaide United this Friday.
