Minister meets with the NFF
MINISTER for Agriculture and Water Resources, David Littleproud, said he had an excellent first meeting with the National Farmers Federation (NFF) this week.
Mr Littleproud met with NFF president Fiona Simson, CEO Tony Mahar, newly elected vice-president David Jochinke, Water Taskforce chair Les Gordon, and Cotton Australia CEO Adam Kay.
“I’ve been very keen to hit the ground running and meet the key players, and the NFF was one of the first on my list,” Mr Littleproud said.
“The NFF is a key voice to government.
“We had excellent discussions about water, land use and market access.”
Minister Littleproud stated his support for the Murray-Darling Basin Plan and also for the NFF’s goal of growing Australian agriculture into a $100 billion industry.
“I look forward to working with the NFF for the benefit of farmers and all Australians,” he said.
