Students flirt with future job

-

STANTHORPE: Students at Stanthorpe State High School will flirt with their future career at a special job day next month.

The Speed Date Your Career event will take place at the school on May 10.

A Southern Downs Regional Council spokeswoman said the council was seeking businesses and industry individuals to share their career know-how to students.

“Thought speed dating was all about finding love and romance? For Stanthorpe State High School students it could very well be the beginning of a budding career,” the spokeswoman said.

“Speakers are asked to pen a paragraph about the best and most exciting aspects of their chosen career to contribute to a list of different careers for students to consider.”
