DOG ISSUES

-

THIS letter is in regard to SMS in The Chronicle about people not picking up their dog’s excrement around Rangeville.

I have written to the paper myself about the very same subject and nothing much has changed.

I do believe the council could assist with this problem by placing some bins and bags at various intervals around streets in Toowoomba.

Yes it costs money but probably cheaper than trying to police people doing the wrong thing and makes for a much nicer environment.

We saw on a walk around Rangeville someone had bagged the droppings their dog did but unfortunately dropped the two bags and left them on the footpath outside a retirement home top of Stenner St.

That is far worse than leaving the “poo” there in the first place as at least that would disappear over time but plastic bags will stay there indefinitely.

Surely the council could encourage people to do the right thing instead of, as it seems at the moment, ignoring the problem. JAN TING, Rangeville
