There were some great submissions this week, and it made it really hard to decide on a winner. Wonderful work everyone!
Tinies - Our green certificate winner this week is Claire Bloye. Claire’s submission of an elephant was terrific. She added a background, of grass with a blue sky and even drew a plant in the corner. She also added a sign over the elephant’s head, which read ‘The elephant at the zoo’. Great job Claire, very creative.
Our yellow certificate winners are Alicia Bloye and Ava Oliver, I really liked Alicia’s colourful elephant entry. It is one of the most colourful entries I have received, it is so fun and bright. I liked the stripes on the elephant’s trunk. Good job.
Ava did a wonderful job using glittery gel pens to colour in her elephant. She clearly put in a lot of effort to colour in the lines. I also like her choice of bright pink for the elephant’s ears and toes. Good work.
This week’s red certificate winners are Holly Olsen, Rebecca Higgins, Cleo Oliver and Angeline Monson.
Holly’s elephant had its ears outlined in blue, with purple in the centre, which I thought was really cool.
Well done Holly, great work! Rebecca submitted an elephant as well. She made sure the elephant was grey, as elephants in real life are. Great attention to detail, it looked like a real elephant. Wonderful work. Cleo submitted a very colourful elephant. She used blue, purple and green with a bit of silver to make it an extra special picture. Well done Cleo, keep up the great work.
Angeline used lots of different colours in her elephant entry too. I like bright red and purple. It looked really cool, terrific work Angeline.
Juniors - This week’s green certificate winner is Violet Ploeg. Her entry of a dog in a race car was awesome. She added a road and a blue sky into the picture - it was really clear she put a lot of effort in. I also liked that Violet drew some clouds in the sky. Fantastic work.
Our yellow certificate winner is Edie Van de Burgt. Edie’s elephant was super bright and colourful. I especially liked her choice of glittery gel pens for the elephant’s eyes and toenails. I looked super cool. Well done Edie.
Seniors - There was only one entry for seniors this week. Lucky it was so good that it won a green certificate. Niamh Juster’s entry of a bright red farmhouse was very, very detailed. Everything was coloured in the lines and she used different greens for the grass and the hills. Well done Niamh, you clearly put a lot of effort into your entry. Great work.
