Charne in BB firing line
Channel 7’s TV talent show launched as the No.1 show nationally and in southeast Queensland on Monday. The first audition show averaged about 1.6 million viewers. Last week’s No. 1 show shed about 500,000 viewers to rank No. 4 for Channel 9 and ninth in southeast Queensland.
Dracula’s cabaret performer Charne. MORE than 1.18 million viewers have turned on to watch the first Big Brother live eviction show which saw Gold Coast rockabilly pinup girl Charne emerge as the housemate contestants most wanted to leave the house.
The 14 contestants – seven men and seven women – nominated two women they had issues with.
Charne, 31, a Dracula’s Cabaret Restaurant performer, received the most votes, tallying a total of 22 points as a result of nominations from fellow contestants – most of them from the boys.
Melbourne public servant Estelle received 14 points, with most nominations from the girls.
Travelling British beautician Layla, on 12 points, divided the house.
Now viewers decide who will stay and who will leave the house.
Viewers vote to save their favourites, with the contestant who attracts the least votes set to become the first to leave the house at Sunday’s first eviction show.
Singer Josh described having
to make two nominations on live TV as ‘‘frightening, really frightening, scariest thing I’ve had to do’’.
Most of the contestants found it nerveracking.
‘‘I was pretty veterinarian Ray.
‘‘She hasn’t made an effort with any of the other girls, particularly myself. She’s made the kitchen her own,’’ advertising account manager Stacey said of Charne.
Others described the controversial blonde as controlling.
Charne received from the boys.
Melbourne girl Estelle received most of her nomination votes from the girls.
