Vegemite drugs bid

A FRENCH gondolier is not a happy little Vegemite after his bid to mask the smell of drugs by smearing the pungent Aussie spread on them failed at last Saturday’s Electric Parade festival in Melbourne.

The police sniffer dogs weren’t fooled and identified him before he managed to get through the gates.

Romain Franche, 22, faces deportation to France after he appeared at Melbourne Magistrates Court. He was convicted and charged $4000 for trafficking MDMA, acid, ketamine, ecstasy and cocaine.
