Gael certainly gave Variety a bash
IT has certainly been a long journey in every respect for Gael Chudleigh and her devotion to Variety, The Children’s Charity. After 23 years of selflessly organising, arranging and generally running hither and yon, Gael is set to end her association with the famous club. “I was asked to get involved by Michael O’Brien when Queensland Tent 76 was founded on the Gold Coast,” said Gael. “That led to my first Variety Bash and when I saw the look on the faces of the children we were helping, I was immediately hooked. At first I was a board member and when the office was moved to Brisbane I became the events co-ordinator for the Gold Coast. I’ve been on every Bash since, loved every minute of it, made great friends and seen millions of dollars raised to help those disadvantaged children.” A true unsung heroine.
