LONG-TIME locals will have fond memories of the wonderful food cooked by Marie Bensoussan. If you enjoyed a night out in any restaurant owned by Marie and her late husband Emile you were guaranteed two things: great food and a riotously good time. La Plume de ma Tante, Maria la Rose, Marie et Emile’s and La Cucharacha were just some of the great restaurant­s they owned over the years. You will be pleased to know that Marie is well and happy, still loves cooking but only for close friends and always has a smile on her face. Exactly as we remember her.
