Marie savouring the spice of life

LONG-TIME locals will have fond memories of the wonderful food cooked by Marie Bensoussan. If you enjoyed a night out in any restaurant owned by Marie and her late husband Emile you were guaranteed two things: great food and a riotously good time. La Plume de ma Tante, Maria la Rose, Marie et Emile’s and La Cucharacha were just some of the great restaurants they owned over the years. You will be pleased to know that Marie is well and happy, still loves cooking but only for close friends and always has a smile on her face. Exactly as we remember her.
