Maelstrom goes hi-tech in Bundall

-

GOLD Coast personal injury law firm Maelstrom Lawyers has established a hi-tech office at Bundall to accommodate its growing business.

Maelstrom Lawyers has leased a 171sq m tenancy at 16/13 Karp Court, which underwent a major renovation ahead of the practice relocating to it from Surfers Paradise.

The practice holds the tenancy under a five-year lease at a net annual rental of $38,500.

The firm’s legal practitioner director, Michael Andersen, said Maelstrom Lawyers had grown from a sole practitioner operation to a practice with a team of five and needed additional space.

Staff include WorkCover specialist Nicole Stewart, who formerly worked with Shine Lawyers and Maurice Blackburn Lawyers.

“We chose the office because it has plenty of natural light, is surrounded by greenery, and has glass on four of its five sides,” Mr Andersen said.

“Maelstrom Lawyers is the first Gold Coast-based business to be approved Fibre 400 by TPG.

“We are dedicated to providing clients with the highest quality legal work so we have invested in the Fibre 400 installation, which delivers a hundredfold increase in internet speed.

“We have undertaken a full office fitout, including provision of a gym, with the assistance of office designers Amicus, to create an appealing work environment.”

The Bundall office building has an on-site cafe and the Maelstrom Lawyers tenancy comes with five dedicated car spaces.

Gold Coaster Mr Andersen, who has worked with Trilby Misso Lawyers and Slater & Gordon, said his ambition is to make Maelstrom Lawyers the go-to Gold Coast law firm for personal injury matters.
