Motorbike servo drama
A MOTORCYCLIST tackled a man trying to steal his motorbike from a service station in Surfers Paradise.
Police were called to the Pine Ave and Ferny Ave 7Eleven service station about 6.30am yesterday to reports of an attempted unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
It is believed that while motorbike owner Vitor Dalvi was paying for fuel another man tried to steal his bike. The 25year-old came outside to confront the man.
“He said ‘ someone is trying to kill me, I need to steal your bike to run away’,” Mr Dalvi said. He then tackled the man and held on as the man accelerated away before crashing the bike on the street.
Police are still investigating.
