AUSTRALIAN swim team captain Tom Fraser-Holmes has made the shock decision to take a year off racing for his country in order to prolong his career.

Fraser-Holmes plans to use 2017 as a year to implement big changes to his program before launching a full blown assault on the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast.
