A GOLD Coast model and make-up artist’s business has vanished in an instant after hackers attacked her Facebook page and blocked her access to more than one million followers.

Sarah Mudle, who rose to fame after videos of her impressive special effects makeup went viral, said a hacker forcibly took control of the social media account used to promote her businesses last week. Facebook said they are investigating the issue.

Through the Facebook page, The Real Pink Pirate, Ms Mudle promoted her make-up skills, posted modelling shots and worked with sponsors to highlight their products.

“It was my business, it was my baby,” she said.

Ms Mudle said she had spent the past week trying to regain control of the page but did not know what to do.

“I’ve reported it to Facebook and I have spoken to police and they said it’s Facebook’s problem,” she said.

The model said she had only received automated responses from Facebook since reporting the issue.

After being hacked, Ms Mudle’s page posted links to advertising and messaged fans that they had won a prize, which they would need to send money to collect.

The page has been shut down but fans have reported that it was still visible in some countries.

Ms Mudle said she fell vic- tim to the hacker on March 16 when he promised sponsored social media posts to her page.

“He had a legitimate marketing website, but somehow he removed me as an admin when I was transferring my page to my manager,” Ms Mudle said.

Since the discovery Ms Mudle has been using her personal Facebook page and Instagram to talk to fans about the hacking and ask for advice.

“I’m starting to lose it, I’m not handling this well at all,” she said yesterday on Facebook.

“Why the f*** is no one helping.

“I’ve filled out so many reports only to get an automatic reply.”

Ms Mudle said the hacker had been messaging her followers about the fictitious prize. In the same post she claimed the hacker had blackmailed her.

“(The hacker) said if I give him a 500k page he will give mine back,” she wrote.

She said the hacker had been posing as her and encouraging followers of her page to click links which would lead them to an advertisement.

“As soon as fans report him or show support of me he blocks them from my page,” she said.
