They will be followed over the next three nights at Surfers Paradise Live by Australian household names the Veronicas, Eskimo Joe, Taxiride and Mental as Anything.

Burleigh-based Hanlon Brothers member Omar Hanlon said they could not wait to play the festival on Sunday.

“It does so much for the local Gold Coast scene, brings it alive,” he said, adding Hanlon Brothers would release a new music video next week for their song Diamonds, featuring Roman MC.

Mr Hanlon said they were keen to see Amy Shark again after first playing alongside her about 10 years ago.

Sunset City, Joza, Tigertown and Felicity Lawless will also be playing.

There were more than 130 entries for the Gold Coast Music Awards 2017 with 43 finalists making it through. Amy Shark is a finalist for Song of the Year with Adore and Artist of the Year.

While the outdoor concert is free, the 400-seat awards function is sold out.
