MH17 tragedy memorial

A MEMORIAL being created for the victims of the MH17 tragedy will be opened in Amsterdam on the third anniversary of the disaster.

Among those making the trip to the site near Schiphol Airport are the adult children of Toowoomba’s Jill and Roger Guard. Already 298 trees have been planted on the memorial site, which is one for each person killed when the Malaysia Airlines flight was shot out of the sky over Ukraine on July 17, 2014.
