Mal to wait on JT’s run for Test

Cowboys football boss Peter Parr said being ruled out of the Eels game would not be the end of Thurston’s Anzac Test dreams.

“The first decision is whether he plays Friday night. If he doesn’t play on Friday night, there will be a reassessme­nt of the whole situation,” Parr said.

Meninga retained Broncos fullback Darius Boyd in the No.1 jersey for the Kangaroos despite the recent return of Billy Slater to the NRL.
