Lochlyn Munro, one of the stars of the Netflix series Riverdale, has revealed some insights into the plot and actors behind the hit show
THE star of Netflix’s Riverdale has dished on season two, his co-star Cole Sprouse and when fans will learn the identity of Jason Blossom’s killer.
Lochlyn Munro, who plays Hal Cooper in the show based on the Archie comics, was on the Gold Coast for the Supanova Expo at Broadbeach.
He revealed fans will discover who killed Blossom in the season’s penultimate episode, which airs next week.
“How do you know it wasn’t me?” he laughed. “We find out who killed him in episode 12. My character also has a really big secret come out in episode 12.’’
Munro “couldn’t say enough” about his younger co-stars including ex-Disney star Cole Sprouse and newcomer KJ Apa.
“Cole has been around forever so he has a huge following but he’s also such a nice kid, so humble and very intelligent,” he said.
“And KJ is such a talented musician, he’s the youngest of the cast … he’s such a goofy kid and really fun-loving.”
Munro also revealed two new characters who might enter the show next season.
“We (the Coopers) have another child out there. His name is Chick,” he said.
“It was in the comic and I believe that might be a storyline that comes full circle. They’ve also cast Hiram Lodge but we don’t know who he is yet.
“We start filming our second season in mid-June and it will go for 23 or 24 episodes.
“Season one was such a critical time for the writers because they had to make the show so epic that it would get renewed, so now maybe they can take a breather … and build a better arc for each character.”
