SHE’S A HIGH SEAS-ONED REVIEWER

- KRISTY MUIR

MEET the 11-year-old food critic who has grown-up chefs all at sea.

Caitlin Leece of Upper Coomera knows what she likes and speaks her mind. It is that passion for food and brutal honesty that scored her a foodie’s dream gig.

She got to taste-test and review the menu for P&O Cruises’ Pacific Explorer on-board its sister ship the Pacific Dawn at the Port of Brisbane.

The ship is undergoing a multimillion-dollar refurbishment and Caitlin and three other children critiqued the adventure, food, design and entertainment.

The daylong experience was filmed and photographed which was right up Caitlin’s alley as she dreams of becoming a movie star.

“I love filming and acting, so this was a once in a lifetime experience for me,” Caitlin said. “It was great to see how a professional shoot works.”

Caitlin said she was selected for her love of food, cooking and eating out.

“I couldn’t choose a favourite meal – it was all so delicious,” she said of the ship’s food.

“I gave all the food a thumbs up to the chef.”
