Bloomer goes bust

ANOTHER Queensland building company has gone under in further bad news for the state’s struggling construction sector.

Brisbane-based Bloomer Constructions has gone into voluntary administration owing creditors up to $15 million.

Newstead-based CKP collapsed last month with debts of more than $3 million and four uncompleted projects around the city, and Brisbane/ Gold Coast-based Cullen Group collapsed just before Christmas, owing subbies an estimated $18 million.
