Hosts get expert help

-

UP to 25,000 potential Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games volunteers will get expert advice on delivering great service to visitors next year.

As part of the volunteer selection process, Gold Coast Tourism will be showcasing its ‘Be My Guest’ program to all applicants, helping them become the perfect hosts for the Games.

“Delivering the right tone with the best manner is as important as passing on accurate information when dealing with visitors to the city,” said Gold Coast Tourism Chief Executive Officer, Martin Winter.

Interviews began yesterday at the Volunteer Selection Centre in Burleigh, with 15,000 volunteer positions to be filled from the 25,000 applications.

The GC2018 organising body, GOLDOC, will continue the interview process for the next four months.
