Mr Rix bought lot 22 for $2.2 million and lot 14 for $525,000 in 2015.

Other sales at the auction included lot 1, Yawalpah Rd, Coomera, which sold to a Gold Coast doctor for $530,000 plus GST.

The 5.7ha property was also sold by the Department of Transport and Main Roads.

CBRE’s Lachlan Harris, who marketed both blocks with colleague Mason Kidman, said the properties attracted competitive bidding.

“The sales show there is strong demand for land in the fringe areas of the CoomeraPimpama corridor,” he said.

The State Government is also selling an 18.02ha property in Castle Hill Drive, Pacific Pines.
