Boys die in truck crash
QUEENSLAND parents whose youngest son survived their 4WD being torn apart in a collision with a truck were at the four-year-old’s bedside last night while mourning their two older boys.
The family was driving north along the Newell Highway near Dubbo on their way home when their 4WD collided with a B-double truck about 3.30am yesterday.
The brothers, aged nine and 12, died at the scene while their four-year-old sibling has been flown to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Sydney suffering serious internal injuries.
