megan.birot@news.com.au calling my boyfriend crying because I was exhausted and questioning everything, if I had made the right decision to travel half way across the globe for this,” she said.

“But after the surgery I looked down at my chest and fell in love with my new boobs and instantly felt happier and more confident.

“After my weight loss my breasts were very saggy, empty, pretty much sacks would be the way to describe them and I just didn’t feel like myself.”

Nikki’s two-week cosmetic journey from the Gold Coast to Thailand forms part of Channel Nine’s new reality series Operation Thailand in which emotions and incredible post-surgery reveals are aplenty.

The part-time bikini model applied to feature in the series after seeing an ad on Facebook, and within two months cameras were rolling.

“I thought ‘why not, what have I got to lose?’,” she said.

Nikki is one of seven Gold Coasters featuring in the series which documents the journey of 30 men and women who travelled to Thailand for various cosmetic procedures including tummy tucks, breast augmentations and dental surgery.

In the past year, Gold Coast based company CosMediTour recorded a 130 per cent increase in women travelling to Thailand for low cost surgery.
