Hills home lures buyer

A CHINESE buyer who two years ago spent $6.6 million on a sprawling riverfront house at Paradise Waters has had his fat chequebook out in the hills.

Commodore Drive resident Weimin Huang has emerged as the buyer, at $4.5 million, of Dreamworld founder John Longhurst’s house at Eagle Heights on Mt Tamborine.

John bought the property from former city councillor Eddy Sarroff for $2.3 million in 2010, spent $5 million upgrading it, but rarely lived there.
