OLYMPICS JOHN Coates has been warned the nation’s athletes will not be silenced as the fallout continues from a brutal battle for the Australian Olympic Committee presidency.

Re-elected 58-33 over challenger Danni Roche, Coates has been told he will be held to the pact he struck with the AOC athletes’ commission in return for its crucial vote. Rower Kim Brennan said Coates is on notice to change. “It’s really important that, moving forward ... that the athletes want a voice,” Brennan said.
