Labor lashes Latham
SENIOR Labor figures have lashed out at Mark Latham, labelling their former leader as an irrelevant, desperate attention seeker.
Mr Latham, who led federal Labor from 2003 until 2005, has announced he’s joined the Liberal Democrats.
He’s also hinted at a political comeback in order to save “western civilisation”.
Shadow treasurer Chris Bowen said: “One of the mysteries of public life is why anyone takes this guy seriously anymore.” Frontbench colleague Brendan O’Connor said: “If he wants to choose to join another political party after getting everything he has got from the Labor Party, including his lifelong superannuation, that’s his choice.”
