Big surge in NBN gripes

AUSTRALIANS remain dissatisfied with the National Broadband Network in large numbers, as complaints about the service more than doubled in the final half of last year, Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman figures reveal.

Total complaints to the Ombudsman soared by more than 38 per cent compared with the previous year, and internet services proved the biggest gripe.

However, NBN Co blamed the rising number of households being connected to the network for the rise in complaints.
