Tassie Putin on a show
MEMBERS of controversial Russian punk band Pussy Riot will be in Hobart for the city’s Dark Mofo festival.
Additional acts revealed yesterday include the feminist outfit who rose to global fame after three members were arrested in 2012 for staging a performance in Moscow’s Cathedral of Christ the Saviour which was critical of leader Vladimir Putin.
Starting on June 8, the 14day Dark Mofo festival has attracted controversy with plans for a sacrificial ritual by Austrian artist Hermann Nitsch, involving a freshly killed bull.
