Mega plan for towers

EG Funds Management is believed to be working up a development application for twin towers with hundreds of apartments on land where The Forum, Paradise and Lido Arcade buildings sit in the heart of Surfers Paradise.

Approval for the towers might be a value-adding exercise, ahead of EG marketing the three-pack, bought for $42 million in 2010.

It remains to be seen whether EG adds an adjoining property, being marketed by artist Ken Done, into the equation.
