Will’s too powerful

MOTORSPORT QUEENSLAND’S Will Power led for 61 of 85 laps to hold off New Zealand’s Scott Dixon and win the IndyCar Grand Prix for his first victory of the season at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s road course.

Power gave Team Penske their third straight victory this season and third in a row on the 23.8km, 14-turn road course. The 36-year-old Power also won the event in 2015.

The victory margin of 5.2830sec did not seem that close and Ryan Hunter-Reay was a distant third.
