Gallery designer sought
THE proposed new Gold Coast Art Gallery is one step closer with the council calling for tenders to design and manage construction of the project.
The council have released expressions of information documents calling for people interested in designing and constructing the $60 million project. The outer shell and basic floor plan has already been designed and the council wants a company to bring the boot-shaped building to life.
“(It) will have the capacity to host internationally recognised exhibitions and will collaborate on large projects with high profile museums and galleries in Australia and overseas,” the documents read.
