Berry says trio is cherry ripe for form surge

-

STAR jockey Tommy Berry is convinced Medaille, Our Beatnik and Queen Of Heights are capable of bouncing back from last-start defeats at Warwick Farm today.

Berry has retained the ride on the trio and describes Medaille as “above average”, Our Beatnik’s finishing speed as “good a sprint as anything” and Queen Of Heights as “very hard to beat”.

They are among six quality rides for Berry at the seven-race midweek meeting.

Godolphin filly Medaille, a closing third to White Moss and Zonk at the Warwick Farm meeting two weeks ago, lines up in the All Too Hard At Vinery Handicap (1600m).

“I told Darren Beadman straight after the race if Medaille draws a barrier next start she will win,” Berry said.

“Because of her wide barrier last start we had to ride her back and after about 200m I knew we were basically out of the race. They slowed mid-race then turned it into a sprint home which put Medaille at a disadvantage, but she ran on well late.

“She is an above-average filly. We had drawn a gate (barrier six) and should settle much closer this time. It looks a nice race for her.”
