Reds return off for Genia

WALLABIES half Will Genia has copped a stunning contract knockback from the Queensland Reds and will likely play out his days in Europe rather than line-up against his former club in Super Rugby.

Behind-the-scenes moves had been hatched for Genia to return to Brisbane from French club Stade Francais yet the cash-strapped Reds said “thanks, but no thanks”.

Nick Frisby, signed on a three-year deal until the end of 2019 since Genia headed to Paris in late 2015.
