“When I was injured I kind of fell down the pecking order and I know I have to come back and do the hard work to get back to where I was.”

Henry said Peteru’s developmen­t has been clear for all to see since he joined the club midway through 2015 and liked what he saw in the 110kg prop’s effort against Sunshine Coast on Sunday.

“He had some strong carries. I went out and watched that game so he will contribute for the team,” Henry said. Marquee man Jarryd Hayne will take his place at left centre after overcoming a nerve issue in his leg but forward Ryan Simpkins (knee) and English outside back Dan Sarginson (shoulder) face long stints on the sidelines.
