EGGS offer so many health benefits they should be prescribed for conditions ranging from diabetes to memory loss, a UK study says.
The mix of protein, vitamins and minerals is so beneficial that eggs are described as “nature’s multivitamin” by nutritionist Dr Carrie Ruxton.
Her report highlights that eggs have key nutrients such as vitamins D and B, selenium and choline. In trials, eggs were found to improve blood pressure and blood fat levels in those with type 2 diabetes.
The study was funded by the British egg industry.
