Drugs, stealing charges in Tweed
TWEED police arrested a man found in a car at Chinderah with a number of drug-related items. Police searched the car and allegedly found small quantities of cannabis, ecstasy and methylamphetamine. A number of items were believed to have been stolen from Surfers Paradise. The man, 36, was charged with three counts of possessing a prohibited drug, receiving property stolen outside the state and goods in custody suspected of being stolen or otherwise unlawfully obtained. He will appear at Tweed Heads Local Court on May 22.
